$ 30 million poker tournament at Full Tilt Poker

The online poker operator Full Tilt Poker has launched what they themselves describe as “the Best High-stakes poker tournament Series in the World” with buy-ins of up to $300,000 and an estimated prize pool of $30 million.

The online casino poker tournament called the Onyx Cup Series is organized by Full Tilt and takes place over six live tournaments in the U.S., Europe and Asia with buy-ins between $100,000 and $300,000, followed by the finals with a buy-in of $250,000. Some of the most famous poker players in the world will compete in the poker tournament, including Phil Ivey. He said: “It’s not just about the money with this event, it’s about playing with the calibre of players that you are going to be up against, playing against the best players. There’s going to be a lot of pride that comes along with winning this type of event.”

The first Onyx Cup Series event is scheduled for 11 and 12 May in Las Vegas, where some of the best players from Team Full Tilt will compete, including: Howard Lederer, Erik Seidel, Chris Ferguson and Erick Lindgren. The casino gambling event will broadcast in 40 countries around the world and players can play for a place in the tournament through online gambling qualifiers which run on fulltiltpoker.net.
