WSOP main event winnaar Jonathan Duhamel in elkaar geslagen.
Jonathan Duhamel is overvallen in zijn eigen huis. Hij werd het slachtoffer van een geweldadige overval en er zijn ook een aantal zaken gestolen. Zo is de Wereld kampioen poker van 2010 zijn unique bracelet kwijt en ook is er geld gestolen uit de woning van de wereldkampioen. Naats dit alles is hij ook nog een rolex kwijt die waarschijnlijk ook gestolen is. Lees hieronder het relaas van Duhamel zelf:
“Hello,
I would first like to sincerely thank my family, my friends, many media and all those who have given me an incredible support since yesterday morning. Your support warms my heart and helps me through the test today.
As the police has already confirmed, I have been the victim of a home invasion yesterday morning when two men broke into my house and I was physically assaulted and robbed. After being threatened with death and have given everything I had, I was bound and beaten repeatedly in the face and body before my attackers leave. I am pleased to confirm that I have not suffered any major injuries. I spent yesterday at the hospital and I suffer from everywhere, but I have no fractures. I am now exhausted both physically and psychologically, but I count myself fortunate to be alive.
The criminals have stolen money, but below my wrist of world champion and a Rolex watch I was seen by my sponsor PokerStars offered the same opportunity. I will not deny that these two items have a value much larger than money to me, and I hope with all my heart that we will be able to recover in the near future.
My bracelet, which is a picture, is a unique item. My name is engraved on its back. My watch is itself a black Rolex Submariner with my name engraved also. As for the money, I was mainly stolen tickets 500 euros, tickets quite rare here.
I would appreciate that humble those who might have information about one or other of these items or individuals who committed the assault take the time to contact police at (450) 463-7211. All information will be treated anonymously.
As for me, I will try now to step back on this misadventure during the holiday season with my family and my friends. I hope to return soon to the tables and, hopefully, continue to effectively represent Quebec on the international scene by bringing another title in Quebec in the near future.
