Taiwan is legalizing gambling
The government of Taiwan is about to ground a couple of land-based casinos on islands off the shore of Taiwan. Gambling is not yet legal in Taiwan, but the government is planning to license three different casinos at the end of this year. The main reason that Taiwan is licensing a couple of casinos, is to improve the economical situation in Taiwan, which is getting worse with the day. Taiwan only want to have three casinos, because they absolutely do not want to become a new Macao.
Gambling in Taiwan is not yet legal, but the government tolerates gambling in online casinos. A lot of Taiwanese people love to gamble in online casinos. This is mainly because there are no land-based casinos in Taiwan yet. So if the Taiwanese want to gamble, they can either gamble online, or visit foreign gambling places, such as Macao.
