Ofcourse it's World Series of Poker this summer again and what would be cooler then to get a Main Event Ticket for just $7.50. Ofcourse the chances of this happening is very small but it's possible. The best way to get into the Main Event is doing the Steps at the several Pokerrooms that provide them. As the main example we will take PokerStars because they have the most steps available.

The Steps on PokerStars are a series of six steps after eachother and you move to the next level if you become first or second. For the winner of step 6 is a WSOP package available. The prize package is worth $12.500 so doing the steps is worth it. These are the steps you have to make to get to the WSOP:

Step 1: $7+50¢ entrance fee. 1st and 2nd advance to Step 2. 3rd remains on Step 1 and 4th will receive $1.50. The rest receive nothing.

Step 2: $25+$2 entrance fee. 1st and 2nd advance to Step 3. 3rd and 4th remain on Step 2 and 5th gets sent back to Step 1.

Step 3: $75+$7 entrance fee. 1st and 2nd advance to Step 4. 3rd to 5th remain on Step 3.

Step 4: $200+$15 entrance fee. 1st and 2nd advance to Step 5. 3rd stays on Step 4. 4th and 5th are sent back to Step 3. 6th returns to Step 2.

Step 5: $670+$30 entrance fee. 1st and 2nd advance to Step 6. 3rd and 4th remain on Step 5 and 5th and 6th return to Step 4.

Step 6: $2,000+$100 entrance fee. 1st receives a $12,500 WSOP Main Event Package. 2nd and 3rd receive $1,500. 4th receives $1,000 and 6th takes home $500.

Just be very tight in the beginning and when the blinds get up go crazy. Thats about the basic stratgy to use for the Steps. Gl getting a ticket.
