The staff of Bet-office.com spend some time in Sardinia when 190 pokerplayers where fighting for chips in the EPEC(Everest Poker European CUP). Next to the relaxing time we played some poker and had a interview with Cristiano Blanco. Cristiano Blanco is the face of Everest Poker in Italy. What his planning is with the WSOP and how he got his online nickname you can read in the Interview.

Christiano Blanco is a professional pokerplayer poker player from Italy.He lives in the Rome He started his Poker Career in 2006 when some of his mates introduced him to the game of Poker. When Blanco became second at the EPT German Open in Dortmund bagging 380.000 he played himself in the spotlights and Everest Poker decided to Sponsor him.

Bet-office.com(B): Hello Cristiano Blanco, first of all: Are you enjoying yourself at the EPEC?
Cristiano Blanco(C): Hello, yes i'm enjoying myself very much. The weather is great and there are some nice fun poker events like the 6 men Heads-up i did this afternoon at the Pool of the Resort.
B: Talking about the poker events i saw you playing the side event of the EPEC. Any succes there?
C: Well i'm allready out. At a certain moment i was pushing all-in al the time and at a certain point i had no chips anymore haha.
B: You are a sponsored player of the Everest Pro Team. When did they approach you for the Contract?
C: I got the Sponsor Contract at Everest when i became second in the EPT in Dortmund, so i have the contract for two years now and i'm going into my third year.
B: Without getting into tomuch details what is the Sponsor contract all about?
C: Well I get Sponsored by Everest Poker for all the Main Poker tournaments in Europe and Italy. For italy i'm the Man for Everest Poker so it's important that I also play alot of Poker tournaments in Italy.
B: Lalanco1 is your online screen name on the Pokerrooms. How did you get to that nickname?
C: Well it's just a nick name a friend of mine gave me when i was 12 years old. He deleted the B and put the La infront of the remaining name. Nothing fancy.
B: What do you like more when you can play online or do you like the live stuff better?
C: Well, I like them both but my result are better during the live play so i have to go with live poker. Also because i like to read people and when you play online it's a bit harder. I like to discover tells from my opponents and use them against them.
B: Ok the WSOP is about to start again in Las Vegas are you planning to go there and if yes what events will you play?
C: Yes I will be going for about a month to las Vegas to play about 15 events. I will play all sorts of Events. My big Dream is winning a WSOP Bracelet and this year we just have to do it.
B: Are you planning on playing the new events like the $1000 buyin and the $40.000?
C: I dont like the $1000 event because it's has too less chips and the structure is not that great. The $40.000 event has a great structure but there is not much Value in that Tournament. The Best Players in the world compete in that tournament so it's much more difficult to get a good result there.
B: What do you think of the rebuy's being removed?
C: Well personally i think it's a good idea because rebuy's give people with the most money the most chance. These WSOP Tournaments should be about skill and not about money.
