EPT Warsaw: Birthday boy wins PDF Print E-mail

PokerStars is the official sponsor of the the European Poker Tour that travels through Europe and allways attracs the best PokerPlayers. This time in the EPT Warsaw many of the worlds best Pokerplayers played in the Polish Capital. These are a few names you could spot when looking around the tables at day1: Johnny Lodden, Dario Minieri, Luca Pegano, Isabelle Mercier, Roland de Wolfe and many more.

 The field was stacked with ten former EPT winners and eight of those ten EPT players made it to day 3. Arnaud Mattern was the only player who made back to back. But it would be Birthday Boy Joao Barbosa who would seal the victory for the finale table. When the finale table started these where the Chip Counts:

Seat 1: Arnaud Mattern (France) -- 328,000
Seat 2: Ludovic Lacay (France) -- 296,500
Seat 3: Andrea Benelli (Italy) -- 100,000
Seat 4: Michael Muheim (Switzerland) -- 89,000
Seat 5: Joao Barbosa (Portugal) -- 123,000
Seat 6: Dario Minieri (Italy) -- 359,500
Seat 7: Nico Behling (Denmark) -- 343,500
Seat 8: Sergey Shcherbatskiy (Russia) -- 349,000
Seat 9: Atanas Gueorguiev (Bulgaria) -- 186,500

The Head-up battle was between Nico Behling and Joao Barbosa and the last one won the heads-up. Dario Minieri saw his hope on a victory fade when his battle ended in 3rd place. For his first place Barbosa got €367.141 and the honour of being a EPT champion.

Main Event FTOPS X Full Tilt Poker PDF Print E-mail

One of the best Tournaments to play from last week had to be the Full Tilt Online Poker Series X(FTOPS X) Main Event. The Tournament had a buy-in from $500+$35 and a huge guaranteed prizepool of $2.500.000. The Main Event from the FTOPS X was the last Event in the two weeks full of constant action on Full Tilt Poker.

The relative low buy-in attracted alot of players. In total 5225 players joined the online poker action at Full Tilt Poker. All the FTOPS Events are hosted by a pro from Full Tilt Poker. This event Scott Montgomery was the host. Montgomery became 5h in the last WSOP final but couldn't find his form in this Main Event because he finished out of the money.

Other well known tournament players like Pearljammed and dmmikkel got them selfs in the money, but none of them did the job Julian Verse did. Julian Verse won the Main Event and gave himself a payday of $ 450.708. These were the final table results:
